Hello,
We are trying something different to keep everyone aware of the exciting things that are going on in the Philosophy and Religious Studies Program at N.K.U. This weblog or blog belongs to YOU!
All students, faculty, staff, and alumni in our Major and Minors will be invited to join.
Posted here will be news about contests, trips, Philosophy Club meetings, info for the new Phi Sigma Tau International Philosophy Honorary Society, Internet links, social software used in our classes, your opinions on current issues in philosophy and religious studies (including announcements about issues and issue oriented websites that speak to legislators but no direct announcements about political campaigns).
We will be similar to the Anthropology Listserv except you will need to check to blog yourself. It will not be sent to you as a Listserv is. On the other hand you will not have to read emails that you are not interested in because you will see the content of the visible entries right away to decide if you want to read more or not. You will not get notices of people unsubscribing from the List because people will just not use the link for our blog if they are not interested in the info that it contains.
We will also use this blog as a way to put up papers and such that people would like to discuss like the ones that were never put online from the Conference at Wheaton College in Fall 2005 and student papers that compete for and especially win prizes. K.P.A. papers will also be available here.
Please everyone suggest other uses for this weblog. It belongs to all of us!
Stay tuned. We should have an announcement fairly soon concerning the new Tenure Track Philosopher who will be coming this Fall.
